Volkswagen prepares a new Golf R:
The all-wheel-drive R stands out as the most powerful and the most expensive Golf model. There were rumours that it might be retired (there was no 2020 model) as VW focuses on a number of coming electric models.
The Spymaster now confirms that a new Golf R will arrive for the 2022 model year. The four-door (no two-door models) hatchback gets the same basic body as other Golfs, but comes with a new turbocharged 2.0-litre
