Seaside Gin is available now at Liquor Control Board of Ontario’s (LCBO) stores and online after earning a coveted spot on its general list.
Following two successful six-month trial terms, Sheringham Distillery’s flagship Seaside Gin – inspired by the rugged Vancouver Island coastline – will now be available year-round at LCBO stores across Ontario.
“Seaside Gin has always been a spirit born from passion and place,” said Jason MacIsaac, Sheringham’s co-founder and master distiller. “To now see it become a permanent fixture on LCBO shelves is incredibly rewarding. It means that our gin resonated with Ontario consumers, and that’s the highest compliment we could hope for.”
Seaside Gin was inspired by a walk along the shores of Shirley, where founders Jason and Alayne MacIsaac were struck by the raw beauty of the West Coast and dreamed of capturing its essence in a bottle. The flavour profile – delicately savoury, citrusy, and bright – was inspired by that moment, and features sustainably harvested local kelp to evoke the salty ocean breeze. It’s a gin that transports you to the Pacific with every sip.
Crafted with a unique blend of botanicals including lavender, citrus, and local seaweed, Seaside Gin has garnered international acclaim – including being named Best Contemporary Gin in the World at the 2019 World Gin Awards.
The LCBO’s General List status reflects consistent consumer demand and strong sales performance, ensuring easier access for customers and increased visibility throughout the province.
“As we continue to grow our footprint across Canada and into the U.S., Ontario remains a key market for us,” added Alayne MacIsaac co-founder and CEO. “We’re excited to deepen our connection with Ontario spirits lovers – and we’re just getting started.”
