Saanich residents have until June 30 to take advantage of a promotion offering a free upgrade to a larger organics cart.
The initiative, launched last July, allows households to upsize their green bin to a 360-litre cart – normally a $30 fee – at no cost. The district says the promotion supports waste reduction and encourages more sustainable habits.
All requests submitted by the June 30 deadline will qualify for the free exchange, even if delivery occurs after that date.
Residents are also encouraged to check their updated collection calendar and download the Greener Garbage app to avoid missed pickups. Carts should be placed curbside by 7 a.m. on collection day.
