Acclaimed Irish writer and singer  Mary Murphy — is set to release the fourth book in her enchanting Away with the Fairies series.

Celebrated not just in Ireland but around the globe, International Fairy Day honours the charm, mischief, and wonder of fairies — those beloved mythical beings and their forest friends who have danced through folklore for centuries.

How fitting, then, that Comox Valley’s own Fairy Mary — the acclaimed Irish writer and singer  Mary Murphy — is set to release the fourth book in her enchanting Away with the Fairies series on that very day.

Fresh off her Best in Genre win at the 2024 Page Turner International Book Awards, Murphy’s latest instalment welcomes a cast of new characters, alongside the return of some much-loved favourites - all embarking on lively new adventures, sure to captivate both young readers and their grown-up companions.

Award-winning artist Fiona Van Housen returns as illustrator, bringing the stories to life with her signature whimsical style. Each fairy book includes audio narration, songs and charming extras to extend the magic beyond the page.

Last year, Murphy received the Prolific Author Award, and her third novel is slated for release later this year.

To celebrate, Second Page Books (546 Duncan Ave, Courtenay) will feature a special window display of Murphy’s works for the first week of July.
