The Old School House Arts Centre's latest exhibition explores the rituals and routines of daily life and how to find beauty in everyday things.

For its 2025 resident artists show, The Daily, TOSH asked members to look for beauty in the ordinary, "the unsung hero or unexpected connections, the rhythm of time that shows our daily lives," according to its website. “If we rush through all the days, all the days rush through us.”

The Daily includes photography, paintings, etchings, block prints and hand-weaved textile fabric art.

Brenda Brown was inspired by the different barks she found on evergreens on a rainy day and created a block print titled "In the Forest" .

"This original scene inspired me due to the different types of barks on evergreens as seen on a rainy day," Brown said in the piece's description. "I was on site, finishing a plein air painting in oils when the light pierced through the branches."

The natural hues of a work of fabric art titled "JAUNE", by Bonnie Lefebre, symbolize intellect, creativity, happiness and the power of persuasion.

"Jaune promotes clarity of thought and an aura of Jaune signifies intellectual development," Lefebre wrote in the description.

The Daily will be on display at TOSH (122 Fern Rd. W) until March 1.
