The Alberni Valley arts council's Giant Book Sale was a real page turner this year.
The two-day fundraiser, held May 9–10 at the Alberni Athletic Hall, was well attended and afforded an all-inclusive selection of tomes for even the most discerning of readers.
New this year were local writers that had their books on sale; there were also readings done by authors.
Families made this a part of the Mother’s Day celebration and brought their children along.
