The weather outlook for Trail shows a hot and mostly sunny weekend ahead, according to Environment Canada, with temperatures forecast to rise well above seasonal averages before potential showers begin early next week.

As of noon Friday, July 11, the temperature in Warfield was 25.4°C with 30 per cent humidity and a north wind at 9 km/h.

The barometric pressure was 102.1 kPa and falling.

Today’s high is expected to reach 30°C under mainly sunny skies, with a UV index of 8 or “very high.”

Winds from the northwest at 20 km/h will become light later in the day.

Tonight is forecast to be clear with a low of 13°C.

Saturday’s forecast calls for sunny conditions and a high of 32°C.

The humidex is expected to reach 35, and the UV index will remain very high at 9.

Overnight, the temperature is expected to dip slightly to 14°C with continued clear skies.

Sunday is called to bring a mix of sun and cloud, along with a 30 per cent chance of showers.

The temperature will climb to 33°C, followed by cloudy periods Sunday night with a continued 30 per cent chance of showers and a low of 14°C.

Monday is expected to be the coolest day of the week with a high of 26°C and a 60 per cent chance of showers.

The chance of precipitation increases to 70 per cent overnight, with cloudy skies and a low of 14°C.

The weather is expected to improve again by Tuesday, which will bring a mix of sun and cloud and a high of 29°C.

Cloudy periods will continue overnight with a low of 13°C.

The normal maximum temperature for this time of year is 28°C, with a minimum of 12°C.
