Local musicians and volunteers came together last weekend for a day of music and fun to raise money for neighbouring communities affected by the ongoing wildfires.

Performances included a wide genre of musical acts including Pirate and the Bloody Bohemian, Gut Bucket Union, Stompin’ Tomasito, Bill Hall’s Blues Review, the Valley Fiddlers, Nusatsum River Band featuring Cindy Siwallace, Rollah Mack, and Wayne Levesque.

The amount of local talent in the Valley was enough to fill a full roster and keep the crowd dancing until midnight. Local snacks and crafts were on hand and kids enjoyed the Bounce House, face painting and more.

The Board of Directors wishes to thank the community for their ongoing support of this event and those who donated their time to sing, dance, play, and come out to support a good cause.

The Festival will announce shortly which local agencies will receive the funds, as the wishes of both the Festival and the community was to ensure the funds are distributed directly to neighbouring communities across the Chilcotin Plateau.
