Chemainus Classical Concerts invites you to an afternoon of music with internationally acclaimed pianist Kevin Ayesh on Sunday, March 9 at 2 p.m. at St. Michael’s Church in Chemainus.
Ayesh is known for his performances across the globe, both as a soloist and as part of an orchestra. He has performed in concert halls worldwide and has the distinction of playing in all 50 U.S. states. This edition of Chemainus Classical Concerts will feature a program that showcases Ayesh's technical mastery and deep musicality, organizers said.
The concert will feature a sonata by Robert Starer, the Austrian-born American composer whose works Ayesh is renowned for interpreting. In addition to Starer’s sonata, Ayesh will perform Beethoven’s Sonata No. 11 in B flat major, Op. 22, and Chopin’s Sonata No. 3 in B minor, Op. 58.
"Ayesh’s mastery of technique and profound musicality promise to bring these iconic works to life in a way that only a true virtuoso can," said a press release for the show.
