Highway 97 north of Williams Lake is closed to all traffic in both directions as of the afternoon of Sunday, May 4. DriveBC indicates the expected reopening time is 8:30 p.m. on Sunday.

Highway 97 north of Williams Lake is closed to all traffic in both directions as of the afternoon of Sunday, May 4.

DriveBC is reporting that a vehicle incident has occurred between Pinnell Road and Lynes Creek Road, 10 kilometres north of Wildwood. An assessment is in progress.

A detour is available via Beaver Creek Road via Likely Highway. However, no commercial vehicles are allowed on this detour route.

The next update is expected at 8 p.m. on Sunday (May 4), and the highway is expected to reopen at 8:30 p.m., although this is subject to change. For the latest information, go to www.drivebc.ca.
