Nanaimo-Ladysmith school district decides on new school board chairperson

A new board chairperson was selected as Nanaimo Ladysmith Public Schools held its annual general meeting this week.

Naomi Bailey, who was vice-chairperson in 2023-24, was acclaimed as board chairperson at the meeting on Wednesday, Dec. 4. Greg Keller, previous chairperson, was acclaimed as vice-chairperson.

Mark Robinson will be business committee chairperson, with Tim Harris as vice-chairperson. Tom Rokeby is education committee chairperson, with Leana Pellegrin vice-chairperson. Representing the district as B.C. School Trustees Association provincial councillor will be Pellegrin, with Chantelle Morvay to serve as her alternate.

Trustees will hold their positions for a year.
