B.C.'s Bridging to Retirement Program closes for applicants

B.C.'s Bridging to Retirement Program officially closed for applicants as of Feb. 26, the provincial government announced in a statement. 

First created in October 2019, the program has supported nearly 2,220 workers, and approving more than $92 million in funding, according to the province. 

In November 2021, the program was renewed with a three-year funding commitment to assist workers age 55 and older who are affected by challenges in the forestry sector.
