A police investigation has cleared Enderby's high school of any risk following a bomb threat received Wednesday afternoon.
Just after 1 p.m. on May 14, the Vernon North Okanagan RCMP got a report of an "unspecified threat," previously reported as a bomb threat by School District 83, directed at A.L. Fortune Secondary.
Officers attend the school to investigate and ensure the safety of students and staff and, as a precautionary measure, an early dismissal was arranged and kids were moved to the nearby arena while awaiting pickup.
"A complete and thorough investigation has been conducted and at this point, no credible evidence has been found that would substantiate the threat," media relations officer Const. Chris Terleski said in a media release. "Any potential risk to the safety of our schools are treated with the highest of priority and we want to thank everyone for their assistance and cooperation."
