Saanich residents are invited to provide feedback on the municipality’s draft 2025 Financial Plan through an online budget simulation tool and survey, available until Feb. 16.
The draft plan includes the annual municipal budget, along with proposed budgets for Saanich Police and the Greater Victoria Public Library.
Residents can participate by visiting HelloSaanich, where they can explore budget allocations and submit their input. While registration is not required to view the information, an account is needed to complete the survey. Feedback collected will be shared with council for consideration.
Residents can also provide input at budget meetings on March 4, March 6, and April 8, all at 6 p.m. Meetings will be webcast live and available for later viewing with presentation materials.
Feedback can also be submitted via email, mail, or in person at the municipal hall by noon on the day of the meetings. Those wishing to speak at the meetings can register in advance.
In-person attendance at council chambers is limited and available on a first-come, first-served basis. Residents are encouraged to have an alternative plan for virtual participation.
Council will review the draft financial plan over the coming months, with the adoption of the final plan and tax rate bylaws expected by May 12.
