Environment Canada issued a snowfall warning for Bella Coola beginning Tuesday morning, Feb. 27.
There is a potential for a snowfall of 15 to 25 cm.
“A Pacific weather system will bring a snowstorm to the Central Coast inland sections. Roads many become difficult to navigate due to accumulating snow,” noted the Environment Canada website.
The snow is expected to ease off on Wednesday night.
A low of -8 C is in the forecast for Monday evening with a wind chill of -12 C overnight.
So far in February the Bella Coola Valley has not had any snow.
Temperatures in Williams Lake are expected to drop to -22 C overnight Monday, then back up to -8 C Tuesday, with a chance of snow in the amount of two to four cm, but 10 cm in the Cariboo Mountains.
