Line painting work will make parking temporarily unavailable on parts of South Main Street in Penticton starting next week.
Crews are set to mark the road, between Galt Avenue and the Skaha Marina, from May 20 through the beginning of June, according to the city.
Residents are asked to watch for the temporary "no parking" signs in the area during this time. Avoid parking within the designated spaces while line painting is taking place, city officials urged.
"Please respect the no parking signs, watch for traffic control personnel while crews are working, and allow yourself extra travel time during this time," a press release reads.
Construction crews in March resumed work on the final phase of Penticton's lake-to-lake bike lane in the same area, along South Main Street.
That work, which would mark the end of the 6.7-kilometre cycling route, is expected to "substantially" be complete by June, the city told Black Press Media earlier in 2025.
