Fish farm workers rescue 2 dogs found hungry and alone on remote B.C. island

MOWI employees gain trust of 2 emaciated dogs from remote Minstrel Island, get them to care

Two young dogs were rescued last week from a remote island on B.C.’s central coast by a trio of salmon farm employees.

Krystyna Podlasly, Dalynn St Pierre, and Ashley Riley were boating by Minstrel Island, which is located in the Johnstone Strait region, when they noticed two animals walking along the shore.

Thinking they were simply wolves at first, the MOWI employees continued to watch before suddenly realizing they were starving and emaciated dogs.
