RCMP and the Police Service Dog canvas a Harwood neighbourhood Thursday, June 5.

RCMP were able to track down a suspect thanks to the help of their four-legged friend June 4.

The Police Dog Service team joined Vernon North Okanagan RCMP at a residence in the 1700 block of 41st Avenue Wednesday around 9:45 a.m.

A person with an outstanding warrant was arrested at the Harwood neighbourhood home.

"The individual was taken into custody safely and without incident," said Const. Chris Terleski, media relations officer.

Neighbours in the area said their road, and a nearby alley, was blocked off by police during the arrest.
