NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN pursuant to Section 494 of the Local Government Act that the District of North Saanich has received an application for a Temporary Use Permit at 10555 West Saanich Road; legally described as Lot 1, Section 17, Range 1 West, North Saanich District, Plan VIP88780.
On Monday, June 23, 2025 at 1:00 p.m. in the Council Chambers of the Municipal Hall, 1620 Mills Road, North Saanich, Council will consider adopting a resolution regarding the Temporary Use Permit application.
The property is zoned Rural Agricultural 6 (RA-6) within the District’s Zoning Bylaw No. 1255. The purpose of this application for a Temporary Use Permit (TUP) is to temporarily allow Film Production use within the large existing buildings on the subject property as well as outside on the existing paved portions of the site. Film production activity would not be permitted on any of the arable land on the property. Film Production is currently not a permitted use in the Rural Agricultural 6 (RA-6) zone therefore Council approval of TUP is required.
All persons who deem their interest in the property to be affected by the proposal will be afforded a reasonable opportunity to make a written submission or be heard by North Saanich Mayor and Council.
