A former Vernon Viper is now a part of the back-to-back Stanley Cup champion Florida Panthers organization.

Shea Busch was drafted in the fourth round (128th overall) of the 2025 NHL Draft by the Panthers on Saturday, June 28.

Busch had been in the Vipers organization since 2023, with 75 total games under his belt in the BCHL.

The 6'2", 207-pound left winger potted 20 goals and 17 assists during his time with the Vipers in 2023-24, and parts of the 2024 season, before leaving for the Everett Silvertips of the WHL in November.

In 39 games with the Silvertips, the 18-year-old accumulated 11 goals and eight assists. During the WHL postseason, Busch tied for fifth on the team in scoring, with 11 points (six goals, five assists) in 13 games. He committed to Penn State University for the 2025-26 season.

"He has good size," said Florida Panthers GM Bill Zito. "Plays in the hard areas."
