An all-star lineup will celebrate the music of Gram Parsons in Parksville on Feb. 8.
The 'Cosmic American Music Revue' will include performers Sue Medley, Doug Cox, Steve Mitchell and Mick Sherlock at the McMillan Arts Centre (133 McMillan St.)
Parsons' work was influential on major acts such as the Eagles, Emmylou Harris and the Rolling Stones. He recorded as a solo artist and with the International Submarine Band, the Byrds and the Flying Burrito Brothers.
He called his music "Cosmic American Music", a hybrid of country, rhythm and blues, soul, folk and rock.
The Cosmic American Music Revue is the third concert in the Full Spectrum Folk Series, which will also include shows by blues boogie-woogie piano maestro, David Vest (March 8) and the Indigenous duo from Treaty 7 territory in Saskatchewan, the North Sound (April 12).
The concert goes from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. Doors open at 6:30 p.m.
Tickets are $32 and they are available online using the MAC's box office and can be picked up at the MAC.
