The forecast calls for a brisk weekend overall here in the Cariboo.

Morning temperatures this early this Saturday morning were recorded at -4C with an expected high of 4C by days end. Tonight its expected to go down to 0C with Sunday seeing a high of -2C and a low of -11C that night.

A mix of sun and clouds is expected throughout both Saturday and Sunday with a high chance of rain showers and flurries tonight along with assorted fog patches across the area.

Driving conditions are generally favourable in and around the lakecity thanks to the warmer weather. Packed snow advisories are still in effect for Highway 20 between Olsen Drive and Sawmill Creek Road approaching Bella Coola.

Coming towards Williams Lake on Highway 20, roads are slushy and slippery in sections and fog patches should be expected between Stack Valley Road and Highway 97. These slippery and foggy conditions are being seen across the Cariboo today, especially along Highway 97.

Conditions in Bella Coola are raining and overcast and are expected to stay that way throughout the weekend with a high of 5C. The rain is expected to continue throughout the week.
