Single vehicle crash claims one life on Highway 97 south of Quesnel

A single vehicle collision on Highway 97 claimed the life of a 43-year-old man south of Quesnel.

On Jan. 4, 2024 at 8 p.m., the Quesnel RCMP responded to a single vehicle collision on Highway 97 near Lavally Road near Marguerite, south of Quesnel.

An SUV had been travelling northbound on the highway when it crossed the centre line into the southbound ditch, causing it to roll over. A 43-year-old man, who was the only occupant of the vehicle was found dead.

Traffic was temporarily disrupted while police dealt with the collision, said Sgt. Clay Kronebusch of the Quesnel RCMP.
